A rectangular lawn 80 meters by 60 meters has two roads, each 2 meters wide running out in the middle of it, one parallel to the length and the other parallel to the breadth. Find the area of the roads.

to find the area of a rectangle = l*b
l=80 / 60
b=2
1st road= 80*2= 160cm^2
2nd road= 60*2= 120cm^2
tot area of the roads = 160+120= 280cm^2
