A rectangular lawn 80mx60m has two roads each 10m wide running in the middle of it, one parallel to the length and the other parallel to the breadth.Find the cost of gravelling them at 1.20/- per sq.metres.​

So,

80x10= 800

60x10=600

10x10= 100

800+600= 1400

1400-100=1300

Area = 1300

cost= 1300x1.20= 1560
