Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of ABCD

Given length = 40m

Given breadth = 25m

Area = Length × breadth

= 40m × 25m

= 1000m^2

External path = 2m wide

Length =40m+2m+2m=44m

Breadth = 25m+2m+2m= 29m

Area of PQRS= Length × breadth

44m ×29m = 1276m^2

Area of path = Area of PQRS - Area of ABCD

= 1276m^2 - 1000m^2

= 276m^2

Question:-

A rectangular lawn of length 40m and breadth 25 m is to be surrounded externally by a path which is 2m wide.

Find the area of the path.

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 40 × 25

=> Area of rectangle = 1000 m²

=> X = 1000 m²

we know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

so,

=> L = 40 + 2 + 2 = 44 m.

=> B = 25 + 2 + 2 = 29 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 44 × 29

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 1276 m²

=> Z = 1276 m²

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 1276 - 1000

=> Area of path = 276 m²

Hence area of path 276 m².

i hope it helps you.
