Answer:

$1068

Step-by-step explanation:

Length = 50m

Breadth = 35m

∴ Area of lawn = 50m * 35m

                         =1750m²

Length of path=50+2+2 m= 54m

Breadth of path = 35+2+2 m=39m

∴ Area of path= 54m * 39m - Area of lawn

                       = 2106-1750 m²= 356m²

cost of surfing the path=356*$3= $1068

Question:-

A rectangular lawn of length 50 m and breadth 35 m is to be surrounded externally by a path which is 2 m wide. Find the cost of surfing the path at the rate of $3 per m².

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 50 × 35

=> Area of rectangle = 1750 m²

=> X = 1750 m²

we know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

so,

=> L = 50 + 2 + 2 = 54 m.

=> B = 35 + 2 + 2 = 39 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 54 × 39

=> Area of rectangle + path

= 2106 m²

=> Z = 2106 m²

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 2106 - 1750

=> Area of path = 356 m²

Area of path 336 m².

To finding cost of surfing the path

=> Area × $ 3 = 356 × 3 = $ 1068

Hence cost of surfing the path

is $ 1068

i hope it helps you.
