Answer:

336 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

There will be two rectangles

internal Area = 50*30 = 1500 m²

Outer Area = (50+2+2)*(30+2+2)=54*34= 1836 m²

Area of Path = Outer Area - Internal Area   = 1836 - 1500 = 336 m²

Question:-

A rectangular lawn of length 50m and breadth 30m is to be surrounded externally by a path which is 2m wide . find the area of the path .

solution:-

Let, L be the length of rectangle and B be

the breadth rectangle.

By Question:-

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle = L × B

=> Area of rectangle = 50 × 30

=> Area of rectangle = 1500 m²

=> X = 1500 m²

we know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

so,

=> L = 50 + 2 + 2 = 54 m.

=> B = 30 + 2 + 2 = 34 m.

We know formula of

=> Area of rectangle + path = L × B

=> Area of rectangle + path = 54 × 34

=> Area of rectangle + path = 1836 m²

=> Z = 1836 m²

=> Area of path =( Z ) - ( X )

=> Area of path = 1836 - 1500

=> Area of path = 336 m²

Hence area of path 336 m².

i hope it helps you.
