Area of tile = 3*15 = 45cm square.
Area of floor = 45*13 = 585 cm square.
No of tiles needed is 585/45= 13.
Hence 13 tiles are needed

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of tiles =

Area of floor ÷ Area of tile

Area of floor = 45cm × 13cm

Area of tile = 3cm × 15cm

∴Number of tiles =

(45×13) ÷ (3×15)

585 ÷ 45

=13

∴Number of tiles = 13
