A rectangular paper of dimension 7 cm by 3cm is rolled to form a cylinder with height equal to the width of the paper. Radius of its base is 7.

Answer:

In order to make a cylinder from a rectangular paper, we have to roll its length as shown in figure. In this case the length of rectangular paper is equal to the circumference of the base of the cylinder. Hence, the radius of the base of the cylinder is 62πcm .
