Given,

A rectangular paper of width 7cm is rolled along its width and a cylinder of radius 20 cm is formed.

To Find,

The volume of the cylinder.

Solution,

Width of the rectangular sheet = 7 cm = Height of the cylinder.

Radius of the cylinder = 20 cm

Volume of cylinder = πr² h.

Taking π = 22/7 and substituting the values,

\dfrac{22}{7}\:\times\:20\:\times\:20\:\times\:7

= 22 x 400

= 8800 cm³.

Therefore the volume of the cylinder is 8800 cm³.

Formulas used:

→ Volume of a cylinder

Surface areas and volume of cylinder:

→ Volume of cylinder = πr² h

→ CSA = 2πrh

→ TSA = 2πr (r +h)
