Answer:

140 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangular paper when folded into two congruent parts had a perimeter of 34cm foer each part folded along one set of sides and the same is 38cm. When folded along the other set of sides. What is the area of the paper?

Let sat Sides of Paper are L & B  cm

when fold along Length

2(L + B/2) = 38

=> 2L + B = 38    - eq 1

When folded along breadth

2(B + L/2) = 34

=> 2B + L = 34    - eq2

Eq 1 *2 - Eq  2

3L = 42

=> L = 14 cm

2*14 + B = 38

=> B = 10 cm

Area = Length * Breadth = 14 * 10  = 140 cm²

option A is correct
