A rectangular park 54 m x 40 m has two 2 m
wide roads in the centre running parallel to
the breadth. Find the:
a) area of the roads.
b) area of park excluding roads.
c) cost of laying grass at ₹ 5 per sq. m.​

Area of rect = 2(l+b)

54×40=2160

area of path excluding roads

so length will 50 as 4 is being subtracted in both the lengths

same for breadth 40-4=36

area = 50×36=1800

cost of laying grass at Rs.5 per sq.cm

2160-1800=360

360×5=1800rs
