a. length of path running parallel to length =90m
breadth of the path=7m
area=90*7m²=630m²
area of two paths =630m²*2=1260m²

now length of path running parallel to the breadth=70m
breadth of path=5m
area=70*5m²=350m²
area of two path=350m²*2=700m²

so total area of path =1260+700m²=1960m²

b. total area of park =90*70m²=6300m²
so area of park left=6300m²-1960m²
=4340m²

Area of the two paths along the length = 2 x (90m x 7m) = 1260m²

Area of the two paths along the breadth = 2 x (70m x 5m) = 700m²

Area of the paths crossing each other = 4 x (7m x 5m) = 140m²

Therefore, total area of the path = (1260 + 700 - 140) m²

                                             = 1820m²

Area of the park = 90m x 70m = 6300m²

Therefore, area of the remaining portion = (6300 - 1820) m²

                                                        = 4480m²
