▪Area of rectangle ABCD = l × b

= ( 90 + 5 × 2 ) × ( 70 + 7 × 2 )

= 100 × 84

= 8400 square m

▪Area of rectangle EFGH = l × b

= 90 × 70

= 6300 square m

● Area of the path without the park = Area of rectangle ABCD - Area of rectangle EFGH

▪Area of the path = 8400 - 6300

= 2100 square metres
