SOLUTION:

Given:

•A rectangular park is 150m long & 70m wide.

•A path is 5m wide is constructed outside the park.

To find:

The area of the path.

Explanation:

•Length of a rectangular park=150m

•Breadth of a rectangular park= 70m.

We have to add 5m to both sides of rectangular park whose dimensions are 150m ×70m.

Therefore,

Length= (150+5+5)m = 160m

Breadth= (70+5+5)m= 80m

Now,

Area of rectangular path:

=) length × breadth

=) 160m × 80m

=) 12800m²

Thus,

The area is 12800m².

Thank you.
