A rectangular park is 35 m long and 20 m wide. A path 2.5 m wide is constructed outside
the park. Find the area of the path and the cost of constructing it at ₹ 150 per m2.

similarly breadth of outer rectangle = breadth of interior rectangle + 2( width of the path)

Now , area of the path = (area of outer rectangle)-( area of inner rectangle or park)

= 1000 - 700

total cost of constructing the path = total area of the path * rate of constructing it
