Answer:

114 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of Park (1) = 35m, Breadth of Park (b) = 20m

Length of Park along with path (L) = (35 + 2)

= 37m

Breadth of park along with path (B) = (20 + 2)

= 22m

Area of path = Area of Whole park along with path - Area of park

= L x B

lxb

= 37 x 22 35 × 20

= 814 700

= 114 m^2

AREA OF PATH CONSTRUCTED WILL BE 114m^2.

Given,

Length of park =35 m

Width of park = 20 m

Length of path = 2m

To find

The area of the path

Solution

Length of the park (l)= 35 m

Width of the park (b)= 20 m

Path length = 2 m

Length of the park along with path (L)=( 35+2)= 37m

The breadth of the park along with the path (B) =(20+2) = 22m

Now,

The area of path = Area of the whole park along with the path - Area of the park

=L×B - l×b

=37×22 - 35×20

=814 - 700

= 114m²

Hence the area of path constructed will be 114m²
