LENGTH OF RECTANGULAR PARK=35m
BREADTH OF PARK=70m
Area of park=L*B
35*70
=2450 m2
WIDTH OF PATH=2.5m
Let's now consider the path as ABCD for better understanding.. (abcd is actually the region including path)
LENGHT of path =35+2.5+2.5
=40 m
BREADTH of path=70+2.5+2.5
75
Now, AREA OF ABCD..
L*B
40*75
3000 m2
Now...
Area of path=3000-2450
550 m2
Therefore, Area of path is 550 m2
