A rectangular park is 40 m long and 16m wide . A path of width 2.5 m is constructed on the outside of the park. Find the area of the park​

then

with path length of the rectangle is a = 40+(2×2.5)m = 45m

with path width of the rectangle is b = 16+(2×2.5) = 21m

area of the rectangle with path = a × b m^2 = 945 m^2

then area of the path = area of the rectangle with path - area of the rectangle with out the path

⇒ area of the path = 945 - 640 = 305 m^2

therefore area of the park without the path is 640 m^2 , area of the park with path is 945 m^2 and area of the path is 305 m^2
