length of the diagonal = 13 m

length of the rectangular park = 12 m

let breadth = x m

Length of the diagonal of a rectangle = √(l2 + b2 )

13 = √(122 + x2 )

Squaring on both sides

132 = (√(122 + x2 ))2

169 = 122 + x2

169 = 144 + x2

169 − 144 = x2

25 = x2

x = 5

Therefore, breadth of the rectangular park is 5 cm.
