Length of the Rectangular Park = 45 m

Breadth of the Rectangular Park = 30m

Length of Path = 45 + 2.5 + 2.5

= 45 + 5

= 50 m

Breadth of Path = 30 + 2.5 + 2.5

= 30 + 5

= 35 m

Area of Path = Area of Path - Area of Park

= ( l × b ) - (l × b )

= 50 × 35 - 45 × 30

= 1750 - 1350

= 400 m

Area of Path = 400 m

First of all,

Thanks For the question !

Given :-

  • A rectangular park is 45m long and 30m wide.

  • 2.5m is constructed outside of the park.

To Find :

  • Area of the park

Solution :-

 \bold{Area \: of \: the \: park = l \times b}

 \bold{ = 45 \times 30}

 \bold{1350 {cm}^{2}}

Area of path of the park = 45 + 2.5 + 2.5 × 30 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 1750cm²

 \bold{hence,}

Area of path = Area of park with path – Area of rectangular park

 \bold{1750 - 1350 = 400 {cm}^{2} }

 \bold{ \therefore \: area \: of \: the \: path \: is \: 400 {cm}^{2}}
