A rectangular park is 45m long and 30m wide . A path 2 .5 m wide is constructed outside the park. Find Thebes area of he path.

Hi Keskar,

its simple. Follow the following steps for such type of questions:

Steps
1. Find area of rectangular park
2. Find area of rectangular park including path around it
3. Subtract step1 answer from step2 answer

45 * 30 = 1350 sq metres
(45 + 2*2.5) ( 30+ 2*2.5) = 50*35 = 1750 sq metres
now subtracting we get area of path
1750 - 1350
= 400 sq metres
