A RECTANGULAR PARK IS 45M LONG AND 30M WIDE. A ROAD 4M WIDE IS CONSTRUCTED OUTSIDE THE PARK ,ALL AROUND IT. FIND THE AREA OF THE ROAD. IF IT COSTS RS 120 METER SQUARE,FOR LAYING THE ROAD,HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO LAY THE ROAD.​​

Answer:

Area of park =l×b=45×30=1350 cm²  

Area of park with path is =45+2.5+2.5×30+2.5+2.5=1750 cm²    

Therefore,

Area of path = Area of park with path − Area of rectangular park              

=1750−1350

=400 cm²
