area of Park with path is

45+2.5+2.5×30+2.5+2.5=1750 cm

dare for area of path=area of Park with path-area of rectangular park

1750-1350=400cm

Given :-

smaller rectangle :

  • Length of smaller rectangle is 60 m.
  • Breadth of smaller rectangle is 25 m.

Larger rectangle :

  • 2.5 m wide path runs all around outside smaller rectangle.

To Find :-

  • Area of the path ?

Solution :-

● First we'll find the area of smaller rectangle :-

We have,

Length = 60 m, Breadth = 25 m.

◆ We know that,

Area of smaller rectangle = length × breadth

Now substitute the values :-

Area of smaller rectangle = (60 × 25) m

Area of smaller rectangle = 1500 m²

● And now we will find the area of the larger rectangle.

● First we'll find the length and breadth of the area of larger rectangle :-

∴ Length of larger rectangle = length of smaller rectangle + 2 + 2

60 + 2 + 2 = 64

∴ breadth of larger rectangle = Breadth of smaller rectangle + 2 + 2

25 + 2 + 2 = 29

Now, We have :

Length = 64 m, breadth = 29 m

◆ As we know that,

Area of large rectangle = length × breadth

Now substitute the values :-

Area of larger rectangle = (64 × 29) m

Area of larger rectangle = 1856 m²

Now, Area of path = Area of larger rectangle - Area of smaller rectangle.

Area of path = 1856 - 1500

Area of path = 356 m²

Hence, the Area of the path is 356 .
