Total Area of rectangular park = 85×80 = 6800m²

Area of inside part of the park = (85-2×2)×(80-2×2)

=> Inside part of Park = 81×76 = 6156

Now, the Area of the path = 6800 - 6156

=> Area of the path = 644

Answer:

if the path is along the wall than the answer can be calculated as....

Step-by-step explanation:

Park dimensions = 80×85

Path width = 2 m

So for calculating path area we need to substract the remaining area of park with the total area. Here remaining area can be calculated as...

Remaining area = (80-4)×(85-4) = 76×81

we need to substract 4 from length and width of park because of path width.

Now for path area = (80×85)-(76×81)

path area = 6800-6156= 644 m2......... Ans
