Answer:

38000 rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangular park is

120m × 60m = 7200 square meter

dimensions of the rectangular park with surrounding path is

120 + 5 + 5 = 130

60 + 5 + 5 = 70

area of the rectangular park with surrounding path is

130m × 70m = 9100 square meter

area of path is

area of rectangular park with path - area of the rectangular path

= 9100 - 7200 = 1900 square meter

cost of paving the path with gravel is

1900 × 20 rupees = 38000 rupees

Given:

Length of the plot = 125 m

Breadth of the plot = 78 m

Area of plot ABCD=Length×Breadth

=125×78 =9750m^2

Length of the plot including the path =(125+3+3)m=131m

Breadth of the plot including the path =(78+3+3)m=84m

Now,

Area of plot PQRS including the path =Length×Breadth

=(131×84)

=11004m^2

Area of path = Area of plot PQRS − Area of plot ABCD

=11004-9750

=1254m^2

Cost of gravelling =RS75 per m^2

Cost of gravelling the whole path =RS(1254×75)=RS94050

Hence, cost of gravelling the path is RS 94050.
