A rectangular parking lot has a perimeter of 310 meters. The length is 5 meters more than 4 times the width. What is the length and width?

let's

The width of parking = x

Then

Length = 4x+5 (according to question)

Now

=> Perimeter = 310 m (Given)

=> 2(x+4x+5) = 310 m

=> 10x + 10 = 310 m

=> x + 1 = 31m

=> x = 31 - 1m

=> x = 30m

Now

Width = 30 m

Length = 4×30+5 = 125 m
