Step-by-step explanation:

  • Length of the grass cover= 85m
  • Breadth of the grass cover= 60m

Area of the path = Area of the total boundary - Area of the grass cover.

  • Area of the grass cover = l × b = (85 × 60) sq.m

= 5100 sq.m

  • Area of the total boundary=

Length of the total boundary = 85 + (5×2) m

Breadth of the total boundary = 60 + (5×2) m

( Since the path is 5 m wide at both ends of all the sides, 10 m has to be added to the length and breadth of the grass cover for getting the length and breadth of the total boundary.)

Area of the total boundary = 95 × 70 sq.m

= 6650 sq.m

Area of the path = 6650 - 5100

= 1550 sq.m

2.

Cost of the grass cover per 1 sq.m = ₹25

Cost of the grass cover per 5100 sq.m =

₹ (5100 × 25)

= ₹ 127500

Hope It Helped :)
