A rectangular piece of garden is 45 m long and 30 m wide. It has two roads each 1 m wide, running Midway within it, one parallel to the length and the other parallel to the breadth. Find the area of the road. Also calculate the area of the remaining ground.

area of reactangle=l*b

l of roads =45 / 30

b = 1

area of 1st road = 45*1=45cm^2

2nd road= 30*1=30cm^2

tot area of roads= 45+30=75cm^2

area of ground

l=45  b=30

so area = 45*30=1350cm^2

area of remaining ground= 1350-75=1275cm^2
