a rectangular piece of ground is 45 m long and 30m wide . it has two roads each 1m wide, running midway within it, one parallel to the length and the other parallel of the breadth. find the area of the roads . also calculate the area of the remaining ground

area of reactangle=l*b
l of roads =45 / 30
b = 1
area of 1st road = 45*1=45cm^2
2nd road= 30*1=30cm^2
tot area of roads= 45+30=75cm^2
area of ground
l=45  b=30
so area = 45*30=1350cm^2
area of remaining ground= 1350-75=1275cm^2
