Solutions :-

Given :
Breadth = 55 m
Length = 90 m

Find the length of the fence around it :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)
= 2(90 + 55) m
= 2 × 145 m
= 290 m

Hence,
The length of the fence around it = 290 m

Hey Mate,

Given,

The field is a rectangle.

As we all know, a rectangle has two dimensions, i.e., length and width.

In this case, both are given.

Length = 90 m

Width = 55 m

When, we talk about fencing, we are indirectly talking about perimeter.

The formula for perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( Length + Width )

Then, we just have to substitute the values of the length and width given into this formula to get the answer.

Length of fence = 2 ( 90 + 55 )

Length of fence = 2 ( 145 )

Length of fence = 290 m

Therefore, the length of the fence around the rectangular piece of land is 290 m.

Hope it Helps!
