Since ,the breadth of rectangle is taken as height , using common sense the circumference of base of cylinder would be 11cm .

So , we conclude .

Breadth = height = 4cm

Length = circumference of base = 11cm .

Fine ? Ok !

Now ,

What's the volume of cylinder formula ?

The volume of cylinder π r² h

Now we have to find the radius first . Because ? Because in order to find the volume we need to know radius . Yes ? Now how would we find that ?

Remember we know the circumference of base of cylinder .

Circumference = 11cm

2 π r = 11cm

2× 22/7 × r = 11

44/7×r=11

r = 11 × 7/44

r = 7/4

We know that ,

Volume of cylinder = 2πr²

Volume of cylinder = 2× 22/7 × 7/4×7/4

Volume of cylinder = 44/7 × 49/16

Volume of cylinder = 38.5cm³

Hence , our answer is 38.5cm³
