Answer :

The volume of Cylinder is 154cm³.

Step-by-step explanation:-

Concept:-

First we need to find out the radius and the height of the cylinder as Volume of cylinder = πr²h,

Let's do !

To Find:-

  • The volume of cylinder

Solution:-

Given that,

  • A rectangular piece of paper 22cm x 4 cm is folded without overlapping to make a cylinder of height 4 cm.

∴ The breadth of paper becomes height and the length of the paper becomes the circumference of cylinder

  • Height = 4cm
  • Circumference = 22cm

Let us assume the radius as r, and the circumference of the cylinder is,

➦ 2 × 22/7 × r = 22

r × 44/7 = 22

r = 22 × 7/44 ... dividing 22 and 44 with 22

r = 7/2

r = 3.5

The radius of cylinder is 3.5.

ACCORDING THE QUESTION,

The volume of Cylinder is,

As we know that,

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h,

➦ 22/7 × ( 3.5 )² × 4

➦ 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5 × 4 ... dividing 7 and 3.5 with 7

➦ 22 × 0.5 × 3.5 × 4

➦ 22 × 1.75 × 4

➦ 38.5 × 4

➦ 154

The volume of Cylinder is 154cm³.
