a rectangular piece of paper 33cm × 10cm is folded without overlapping to make a cylinder of height 10 cm. find the volume of cylinder .

According to question:-

33 cm is also the circumference of the circle formed.

Therefore,

$2\pi \: r = 33$

$2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r = 33$

$r = 33 \times \frac{7}{44}$

$r = 3 \times \frac{7}{4}$

$r = \frac{21}{4}$

$r = 5.25 \: cm$

Volume,

$= \pi \: {r}^{2} h$

$= \frac{22}{7} \times 5 \times 5 \times 10$

$= \frac{22 \times 250}{7}$

$= \frac{5500}{7}$

$= 785.7 {cm}^{3}$
