A rectangular piece of paper is 22 cm in length and 10 cm in width.I t is rolled into a cylinder along its length.Find the surface area of this cylinder.

here's ur answer!

area of the rectangular paper=CSA of the cylinder

area of the rectangle=l×b

=22×10

=220cm²

therefore the CSA of the cylinder is also 220cm²

height of the cylinder=breadth of rectangle

therefore height of cylinder=10cm

CSA of the cylinder=220cm²

2πrh=220cm²

2×22/7×r×10=220cm²

440/7×r=220cm²

r=220/1×7/440

r=7/2cm

surface area(TSA) of the cylinder=2πr(h+r)

=2×22/7×7/2(20+7/2)

=22(40+7/2)

=11×47

=517cm²
