As the cylinder is made by rolling the rectangular piece of paper. So the area of the rectangular piece of paper will be the LSA of the cylinder.

Area of the rectangular piece of paper=

area = l \times b \\  = 44 \times 20 \\  = 880 \:  {cm}^{2}

Answer:

Rectangular sheet of paper length l=44cm

Breadth b=20cm

According to the given question,

Breadth is same and Length is change into circumference,

So, circumference of circle=2πr

44=2πr

r= 44×7/22×2

r=7cm

Then , volume of cylinder

=πr ^2h

22/7×7×7×20

=440×7

=3080cm ^3
