A rectangular piece of plot measure 0.3 km by 0.4km . each side is to be fenced with 5 rows of wires. what is the length of the wire needed? if the wires cost Rs 10 per metre, what will be the cost of the wire required for fencing? ​

  • Length of the rectangular plot = 0.3 km = 300 m
  • Breadth of the rectangular plot = 0.4 km = 400 m .
  • Cost of wire = ₹ 10/metre

To find :

  • Cost of wire required for fencing.

Solution :

★ Perimeter of the plot:-

  • 2(l + b)

→ 2(300 + 400)

→ 2 × 7000

→ 14000 m

★ For 5 rows length of wire:-

→ 14000 × 5

→ 70000

★ Cost of the wire required for fencing:-

→ 70000 × 10
