A rectangular playground is 42 m long and 38 m broad. if a girl runs round the playground twice, then find the distance covered by her.

Answer 1

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(lenght+breadth)


Perimeter of rectangle =2(42+38)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2×80

Perimeter of rectangle = 160 m


Distance in one round = 160

But,

The girls runs twice, So,

Distance covered by the girl = 2×160

Distance covered by the girl =320 m
