a rectangular playground measures 35 m × 25 m . A road 3m wide along the length and 2 m wide along the width goes through the middle of the ground . Find the area of the road .​

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = 35 x 17 = 595 m2

Find the area of the Park and Path:

Length = 35 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 40 m

Breadth = 17 + 2.5 +2.5 = 22 m

Area = 40 x 22 = 8B0 m2

Find the area of the Path:

Area of the Path = Area of the Park and Path -

Area of the Park

Area of the Path = 8BO - 595 = 285 m2

Answer: The area of the path is 285 m2
