Length of the rectangular playground = 120m

Breadth = 80m

Area of the playground along the track

= 120m × 80m

= 9600 m²

Area of the playground without the track

Length = 120m - 3m+3m

= 120m - 6m

= 114m

Breadth = 80m - 3m + 3m

= 80m - 6m

= 74m

Area = 114m × 74m

= 8436 m²

Area of the walking track = 9600 - 8436

= 1164 m²

☆ Thus, the area of the walking track is 1164 m²
