∴ Area of the rectangular Playground

= (Length × Breadth) square units

= (50 × 30) m²

= 1,500 m²

Length of the playground along with road

= (50 + 5 + 5) m = 60 m

Breadth of the playground along with road

= (30 + 5 + 5) m = 40 m

∴ Area of the rectangular playground along with road

= (Length × Breadth) square units

= (60 × 40) m²

= 2,400 m²

∴ Area of road

= (Area of playground with road - Area of playground)

= (2,400 - 1,500) m²

= 900 m²

Hence, the area of the road is 900m²
