A rectangular plot 20 m long and 14 m wide is to be covered with grass leaving 2 m all around. Find the area to be laid with grass.

length of area to be laid with grass
=20-(2+2)//2 m on both sides have to left out
=16 m

breadth=14-(2+2)
=10 m

so,area of grass =16*10=160 m^2
