A rectangular plot is 110m long and 70m broad . It has a gravel path 3m wide all around it. Find the area of the path and the cost of levelling it at the rate of Rs 3.50 per sq. m

Surface area of rectangular plot = 110*70 = 7700m^2
and gravel is 3m wide around the plot so, l =7700 113m and b = 73m
now we will find the area of this plot with the gravel = 8249m^2

Now find the area of only gravel = 8249-7700 = 549m^2
and we have given the cost of levelling it at the rate of 3.50 rs /m^2
So the total cost of levelling = 549*3.50 = 1921.5rs
