Let Length of the plot = x = 110m and Breadth of the plot = y = 70m Width of gravel path = 3m  Now, Area of rectangle without gravel path = L* B = 110*70 = 7700 sq.m  Add width of gravel path to length and breadth of the rectangle Then, Length = X = 113 Breadth = Y = 73  Now,  Area of rectangle with gravel path = X*Y = 113*73 = 8249 sq.m  To get area of gravel path,  Area of gravel path = Area of rectangle with gravel path - Area of rectangle without gravel path.  Area of gravel path = 8249 - 7700 = 549 sq.m  Given that cost of levelling is Rs. 3.50 per sq.m  Total Cost of levelling gravel path = Cost per sq.m * Area of gravel path  Total cost of levelling gravel path = 3.50 * 549 = Rs. 1929.5  Therefore, Area of gravel path and Cost of levelling gravel path is 549 sq.m and Rupees 1929.5 respectively.
