a rectangular plot is 40 metre long and 16 m broad a road of uniform width of 2 metre surrounds the plot inside it find the cost of paving the road with bricks at rupees 15 per square metre and also find the cost of covering the remaining part of the plot with grass at rupees 9 per square metre

Area of large rectangle =40*16=640m^2
Area of small rectangle =12*38=456m^2
Area of the road=640-456=184m^2
Cost of paving per m^2=15rs
184m^2=184*15=rs2760
Cost of covering the plot with grass per m^2=rs9
456*9=rs4104
