AREA OF RECTANGLE = LENGTH × BREADTH

=> 40 × 16

=> 640m^2.

New Length =36 m

Breadth = 12cm.

=> AREA OF RECTANGLE = 36 × 12

=> 432m^2.

Now,

Area of Road = Area of bigger Rectangle- Area of smaller Rectangle

=> Ar. Road = 640 - 432

=> Area of road = 208m^2.

Now,

Cost of Road with Bricks = 208 × 15

=> 3120 Rupee.

Cost for Remaining part of the grass = Inner Rectangle = 432 × 9

=> Rs 3888.
