Answer:

Total cost to pave road will be Rs 2456.25

Total coast for covering the plot with grass is Rs 7290

Step-by-step explanation:

The given data :-

Length of rectangular plot = 45 meter.

Width of rectangular plot = 18 meter.

Width of road which surrounds plot = 2.5 meter.

Length of whole plot including road = length of rectangular plot + width of road = 45 + 2.5 = 47.5 m.

Width of whole plot including road =  width of rectangular plot + width of road = 18 + 2.5 = 20.5 m

We have to calculate the area of rectangular plot and road.

Area of rectangular plot = length * breadth = 45 * 18 = 810 m².

Area of whole plot including road = 47.5 * 20.5 = 973.75 m².

The area of road = ( Area of whole plot including road - Area of rectangular plot)  = 973.75 - 810 = 163.75 m².

i) Now we have to calculate the cost of paving road with bricks.

The rate of paving road per square meter = Rs 15.

∴ The total coast to pave road = 15 * 163.75 = Rs 2456.25.

ii) We have to find cost of covering remaining part with grass.

The rate of covering the plot with grass per square meter = Rs 9.

Total coast to remaining part with grass = 9 *810 = Rs 7290
