length of rectangular plot = 45m
breadth of rectangular plot = 18m
area of rectangular plot = 45m×18m
= 810m2
length of inside portion
of the rectangular plot. =(45 - 2 - 2)
= 41m
breadth of inside portion
of the rectangular plot. =( 18-2-2).
=14m
area of inside portion
of the rectangular plot. = 41m×14m
= 576m2

area of road = (810-576)m2. = 234m2

the cost of paving the road with bricks at Rs. 15 per square meter= Rs( 234×15)= Rs 3510

cost of covering the remaining part of the plot with grass at Rs. 9 per square. m.=Rs( 576×9)
= Rs 5184
