A rectangular plot is to be fenced on three sides, leaving a side of 20m uncovered. If the area of the plot is 320 sq.m, how many metres of fencing is required?

Let length be L = 20m and breadth be B
Area = L*B
320 = 20*B
320/20 = B
16m = B
Fencing = perimeter
Perimeter = 2B + L
= 2*16 + 20
= 32 + 20
= 52m
Answer : 52m
