Answer:

Area of the path = 264m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Rectangular plot has length = 40m and breadth = 30m

Area of this rectangular plot = length x breadth ....... Formula

= 40 x 30

= 1200m²     ...... (1)

Rectangular plot has a path of uniform width of 2m.

Assume the plot with path as the smaller rectangular plot.

∴ Length of the smaller rectangular plot = 40 - (2+2) = 36m

and breadth = 30 - (2+2) = 26m

Area of the smaller rectangular plot = length x breadth ..... Formula

= 36 x 26

= 936m²     ...... (2)

∴ Area of the path = Area of the rectangular plot - Area of the smaller rectangular plot

∴ Area of the path = 1200 - 936 ..... From (1) & (2)

∴ Area of the path = 264m²

Answer:

720 sq.m

Step-by-step explanation:

first of all , divide that inner figure into 4 parts having ( 40 -2 ) and ( 30 -2) spacing in one of its corner

Now, simply we can find it out !!

2 X [ ( 40-2 ) X (2) + (30-2) X (2) ]

= 2 x 38 x 2 + 2 x 28 x 2

= so this is the concept hope it would be helpul
