A rectangular plot of grass 40m by 25m has a gravel walk 1.5m

wide all around it on the out side. Find the area of the walk.​

We will find the area of the whole plot

i.e, 40*25=1000

Now we will subtract the width given of the gravel walk from the length and the breadth.

Length=40-1.5=38.5

Breadth=25-1.5=23.5

now we will multiply the new length and the breadth, that is 38.5*23.5=904.75

now we will subtract the the area of the for rectangular plot with the area of the subtracted one that is, 1000-904.75=95.25. so 95.25 is the the area of the gravel walk.
