Given that the paths are 3m on each side and goes across to the center of the opposite side. So, basically we have on one side a rectangle of length 300m and width 3m whose area is A

=300×3=900m

and on another side a rectangle of length 50m and width 3m whose area is A

=50×3=150m

One important note, the area of the central part has been included twice, so it has to be subtracted from the total area covered by the path.

∴ Total area =900+150−(3×3)

=1050−9

=1041m

The cost of paving the road at Rs.50 per square meter is =Rs.1041×50

=Rs.52050

Hence, the answer is Rs.52050.
